The whole concept behind the Triple Crown Pub is to provide a home away from home for all those who enjoy the warmth and friendship of a traditional pub found in the British Isles and Ireland. The pub’s name derives from the triple crowns or union of crowns of King James VI, who was the first king to rule over England, Scotland and Ireland. At the time, Wales was part of England and was not a separate entity. The Triple Crown combines traditional designs from pubs that you may find throughout the British Isles and Ireland with the bar being designed and built in Dublin and most of the furniture, fittings and decor coming from all corners of the British Isles. The menu features traditional dishes and favourites from all the homelands, while having draft beers and cider on tap gives it a truly authentic pub atmosphere.
Different daily specials and entertainment range from curry nights to steak specials to an all you can eat carvery, DJs, quizzes, live music and bingo, so make sure you phone for full details.

RATTLE AND HUM - "TRIUMPHANT IN CAYMAN ISLANDS" CAYMAN NET NEWS

St Patrick’s Day 2007 saw a variety of events around the Island, but none more impressive or well received as Rattle and Hum’s two-night run at the Triple Crown. The U2 tribute band sold out on both Friday, 16 March and Saturday, 17 March night, and judging from their audience’s reaction, could have filled the West Bay Road venue for a week.

"...Triple Crown was pretty good too... but quiet on the day we went."
Anyway, you can't go wrong. If you are staying at the marriott resort, you can walk to several of the bars. Otherwise, take a cab or get someone to drive you... everything's pretty close by."

Triple Crown

¢-$$, British, Grand Cayman

Fodor's Review:

This excellent pub offers a pleasant English-style atmosphere. Popular dishes range from Lancashire hot pot (a baked lamb stew with sliced potatoes on top) to sausage and mash, as well as loads of American dishes too. Efficient smoke-eating machines keep the haze to a minimum; TVs are tuned into British and occasionally even U.S. sporting events. The bar menu is served until 11 pm, but prices are generally low.
